印度口腔顎面外科醫師 Dr. John Nesan：從國際合作看見江天恩醫師的專業

來自印度的口腔顎面外科醫師 Dr. John Nesan，除了從事口腔顎面外科，也投入醫療器材、3D列印與電腦輔助手術相關技術。

他與 江天恩醫師 的緣分，最初來自唇顎裂慈善手術。

透過 Scudder Memorial Hospital 的 Sam 醫師介紹，兩人開始交流，也逐漸從慈善醫療延伸到數位技術與手術重建上的合作。

Dr. John Nesan is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon from India. In addition to his clinical practice, he is also involved in medical device manufacturing, 3D printing, and computer-assisted surgical technologies.

His connection with Dr. Victor Chiang began through cleft lip and palate charity surgeries.

Introduced by Dr. Sam from Scudder Memorial Hospital, the two began exchanging ideas and gradually expanded their collaboration from charity work to digital technology and surgical reconstruction.

從慈善手術到顳顎關節重建

在共同參與大型手術案例的過程中，Dr. John 對 江天恩醫師 留下深刻印象。

「非常精準，也非常注重細節。」

From Charity Surgery to Temporomandibular Joint Reconstruction

Through working together on complex surgical cases, Dr. John developed a strong impression of Dr. Victor Chiang.

He describes Dr. Chiang as:

“Very precise and extremely meticulous.”

Especially in complex total temporomandibular joint replacement procedures, careful planning is required for every aspect, from the position of the joint and movement of the upper and lower jaws to the final occlusion and surgical sequence.

Dr. John also noted that advances in digital surgical planning, 3D printing, and customized medical devices have created more opportunities to integrate different areas of expertise when managing complex temporomandibular joint reconstruction cases.

這次來到台灣，是 Dr. John 第一次參觀沃德牙醫。

Dr. John’s First Visit to Taiwan and World Maxillofacial Clinic

This visit to Taiwan was Dr. John’s first time visiting the country and World Maxillofacial Clinic.

He was impressed not only by the clinic’s interior design and use of space, but also by its equipment, including the CT scanner and dental treatment chairs.

But one thing he emphasized in particular was the importance of the team:

“You can have a wonderful building, but if you don’t have the team, which is the life of the place, it doesn’t make sense.”

During his first meeting with the team at World Maxillofacial Clinic, he was impressed by their energy and professionalism, which made his visit to Taiwan even more memorable.
